Candy Nelson is well known and highly respected by top musicians and fans throughout the East Coast. Audiences love her incredible voice, energy, and enthusiasm. Candy is influenced by Rock, New Wave, Alternative, Pop, Funk, Rhythm and Blues, and Country.
Candy Nelson loves what she does and it shows. She has a smile that lights up the room. Positively interacting with people is her innate gift, her inherent talent. Candy appeals to the young, old and everyone in between. She is a true gift to those with mental or physical disabilities and challenges, because Candy naturally treats all creatures great and small with love, respect, compassion and empathy - making everyone she encounters know that they are truly unique, talented, special, important, and cherished - encouraging each and every one to shine like the sun!

As George Klein would say, this is a true story. George saw Candy Nelson perform and was very impressed. He told Joan Friedman about her and she was able to schedule Candy for the January, 2016, AARP meeting. However, George was unable to attend that meeting because he was recovering from a stroke. George knows talent when he sees it. Candy’s performance was enjoyable and very well received. Joan told George that she would ask Candy to be our entertainer for the September meeting so he could see her performance. George was still not feeling well and wasn’t sure he would be well enough to attend. The good news is that George is doing great. He not only attended September’s AARP meeting but introduced Candy.
